Legislator Mills Reminds Library Supporters of Hot Dog Fundraisers in Orchard Park, West Falls/Colden

Erie County Legislator John J. Mills, R-Orchard Park/West Falls, today reminded library supporters about his upcoming Hot Dog Roast Fundraisers to support the Orchard Park Public Library and West Falls – Colden Community Library. Legislator Mills will be selling hot dogs for $1 and Italian sausage with peppers and onions for $2 at both events; meals include a bottle of Mayer Brothers Spring Water. All proceeds will benefit the libraries.

“Our libraries are a tremendous resource and these hot dog roasts are great events that show our support for them,” Legislator Mills said. “I hope that through the community’s generosity and participation, we can once again assist the Orchard Park and West Falls – Colden libraries in moving forward.”

The Orchard Park Hot Dog Roast will take place on August 19 from 11am to 3pm at the Orchard Park Public Library, 4570 South Buffalo Street, Orchard Park. Popular children’s entertainer Glenn Colton will also perform from 12:30 to 1:30 pm.

A second fundraiser, for the West Falls – Colden Community Library, will be held on Saturday, August 20 from 11 am to 2 pm at the library, 1966 Davis Road, West Falls. The library will host several events during that time, including a book sale and children’s games and activities organized by Boy Scout Troop #352.

“The Orchard Park Public Library Board of Trustees and Staff are very grateful and appreciative that Legislator Mills donates his time to help raising funds for the Library.  Legislator Mills continues to make a difference and the entire community benefits from his generosity,” said Dawn Peters, Orchard Park Public Library Director.

“We appreciate the patronage of our supporters and thank Legislator Mills for his help in raising funds for our cause. The continued support we receive from individuals like Legislator Mills goes a long way in reaching our goals,” said Gloria Potzler, Director of the West Falls – Colden Community Library.

Both events will be held rain or shine. For additional information, contact Legislator Mills at 655-5650 or e-mail jmills13@erie.gov.
