Minority Leader Mills announces funding for Cradle Beach, Eden Boys and Girls Club

Erie County Legislature’s Minority Leader John J. Mills announces that during a regular session on Thursday, May 24, 2012, the Legislature unanimously approved the Summer Primetime funding request, including $10,000 for Cradle Beach Camp in Angola.

“The funding approved for Cradle Beach will support its continued efforts to provide quality programming for youths in need. This is an outstanding facility that has benefited the many young people who have attended events there,” said Minority Leader Mills. “The Summer Primetime funding proposal also supports the Boys and Girls Club of Eden, another great program for area youths.”

The following organizations that benefit the entire county will receive Summer Primetime funding: the Greater Niagara Frontier Council – Boy Scouts; Be-A-Friend - Big Brothers Big Sisters of Erie County; WNY United Against Drugs & Alcohol Abuse; and Young Audiences.

Determination of Primetime Funding is coordinated through the Department of Social Services and the final proposal requested by the County Executive’s Office.
