Legislator Mills announces funding for Scenic Byway

Erie County Legislator John Mills announces that the Legislature has approved his request for $5,000 for the WNY Southtowns Scenic Byway (WNYSSB), which will be used to purchase and install a new informational sign in the Village of Springville. Legislator Mills prioritized the funding in the 2017 Erie County budget, recognizing the important of the Byway’s efforts to bring tourism to southern Erie County.

Legislator Mills names Glenn Nellis as December 2016 Citizen of the Month

Erie County Legislator John J. Mills is proud to name Glenn Nellis as the Erie County Legislature’s Citizen of the Month for 2016. Perhaps best known for his service as Town of Eden Supervisor, Mr. Nellis has been at the center of many boards and efforts, doing so much for the community.

December 2016 - County taking serious look at improving broadband access

One of the most talked about issues in Erie County recently is access to broadband. As the representative for some of the most rural parts of Erie County, I know access to reliable, high-speed internet is lacking for many. There are several ways the county is bringing this issue to the forefront in hopes of resolving it.

Legislator Mills announces funding for Orchard Park Veterans Memorial Park

Erie County Legislator John Mills has secured $3,000 for the Orchard Park Veterans Memorial Park Committee to be used for the Memorial Wall. The funding was approved at the annual budget meeting on Dec. 6, 2016.

Legislator Mills announces HEAP Outreaches in District

Erie County Legislator John Mills announces that Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) Outreaches will be held Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016 at Evans Town Hall – Courtroom, 8787 Erie Road, Angola; Monday, February 6, 2017 at Concord Town Hall – Auditorium, 86 Franklin St., Springville; and Monday, February 27, 2017 at Eden Town Hall – Auditorium, 2795 East Church Street, Eden. Interviews will begin at 9 a.m. and continue until 4 p.m. All applicants will be interviewed.
