January 2016 Column - Working together in 2016

This past November I was honored to again be elected to serve in the Erie County Legislature, representing the towns of Boston, Brant, Collins, Concord, Eden, Evans, Orchard Park, North Collins and Sardinia. Working with my constituents, local business owners and elected officials has been a privilege, and we have tackled a lot of goals. I look forward to serving another term to build on past success.

Legislator Mills elected Chairman of Legislature for 2016

The Erie County Legislature unanimously elected Legislator John Mills to his third year as Chairman. The appointment was confirmed at the annual reorganizational meeting held Jan. 7 at the Legislative Chambers.

Legislator Mills secures $15,000 for Eden-North Collins Food Pantry building fund

Erie County Legislature Chairman John Mills announces that the Legislature has approved $15,000 for the new Eden-North Collins Food Pantry in the 2016 Erie County budget. The funding was approved at today’s annual Budget Meeting to support the Eden-North Collins Food Pantry’s efforts to build a permanent center.

Legislator Mills announces HEAP Outreaches in Angola, Concord & Eden

Erie County Legislator John Mills announces that a Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) Outreach will be Tuesday, Dec. 8 at Evans Town Hall, in the courtroom, 8787 Erie Road, Angola. Interviews will begin at 9 a.m. and continue until 4 p.m. Doors open at 8:30am.  All applicants will be interviewed.
