Erie County Legislator John Mills has secured $3,000 in county funding for the Eden-North Collins food pantry. The pantry serves more than 100 families and a total of 350 individuals in the Eden, Collins, North Collins, Collins Center and Lawtons areas.

Legislator Mills said, “This funding will help the Eden/North Collins Food Pantry continue their mission to help those in need. Now, more than ever, many families are struggling to put food on the table. Food pantries play a vital role in making sure everyone has consistent access to meals. I thank them for they work they are doing and am proud to support their efforts.”

Ellen Kindley, President of the Eden-North Collins Food Pantry said, “This funding will be used to supplement our food stock, especially purchasing fresh fruit, produce, bread, and items that are not common staples from the food bank.  We have definitely seen an increase in need during this crisis and are grateful for the additional resources to benefit the community we serve.”
