The Friends of the Library will be hosting the refreshment stand for the Summer Band Concert on July 21st.  We would love pie donations!  Please call or stop by the library if you like to bake.


Read Down Your Fines!!

Children age 16 and under can read down their fines at the library.  Read 15 in the library and earn $1 off your fines.  Stop in for more details!


Build a Better World – Summer Fun 2017

Life of a Writer

Writer’s group for high school students led by author Nancy Eckerson.  Do you like to write or hope to get published someday?  Join our group to learn about the life of a writer.

Tail Waggin Tutors – Therapy Dogs visit the Library

The Newstead Public Library will have licensed therapy dogs visit the library for children to read to them.  This is a great experience for hesitant readers, children that may not be comfortable around dogs or just for the fun of reading to four-legged friend.  Parents are asked to sign children up for a 15 minute slot.
