September is National Library Card Sign-up Month!

Stop in the library for a FREE library card.  You will be entered into a drawing for a special prize and also receive a chocolate!  Did you know that in addition to borrowing books, you can borrow DVD’s, use one of the 12 public computers and so much more!  Please bring proof of Erie County residency.

This year marks the centennial of the beginning of WWI, “The War to end all Wars.”  David has displayed many items including a Prussian Picklehaube sword and hat and a reproduction of a British gasmask.  Stop by to view and learn!

Tuesday Morning Book Club- The Tuesday morning Book Club is looking for new active participants! To find out if this could be the group for you join us for one hour on the first Tuesday of the month at 10;30 AM.  The next meeting will be held on Oct.7. For more information please call the library.

Holistic Coach, Dana Inzeo, provides insight into how to nourish yourself not only with food, but with those aspects of your life that need attention.  It will be a fun and enlightening evening!

American Girl Club

Sat. Sept 27th at 1:00 PM, ages 7 – 10.

Join your friends at the library for an hour of fun, games and crafts. Snacks will be served.  Registration is limited so please call to attend.

Tea Basket Raffle

Cozy up this fall with a good book and a cup of tea.  Raffle tickets are $1 and all proceeds benefit the library.  Drawing will be September 30.

Get Prepared for Flu Season!

The VNA will hold their FLU and Pneumonia Clinic on Saturday, October 4 from 12 noon – 3 pm.  Flu shots available for ages 9 and up.  Children ages 9-17 must have parent.  No appointments necessary.  Most insurance accepted.

Artsy in Akron Presents – Create Your Own Mandala

For teens and Adults

Mandalas are symmetrical designs that represent the universe, and are used as a tool in meditation by many cultures.  This fun and creative class will guide you through the process of creating and coloring your own mandala masterpiece.  No artistic experience necessary!
