Friends of the Newstead Public Library Used Book Sale

The fall book sale will be held at the Newstead Public Library on November 5, 7 and 8.  The Friends of the Library are looking for help in sorting, setting up and working the sale.  This is a great opportunity to earn community service hours.  The next book sorting party will be on Wednesday, October 8 from 6 – 8 pm and Saturday, October 18 from 3 -5 pm.

Book Sale set-up begins Saturday, November 1 from 10 am-5 pm.  It continues on Monday, November 3 from 1 -8 pm and Tuesday, November 4 from 10 am -5 pm.  Please call the library at 542-2327 to help.

Quilt Raffle

Just $1 a ticket gives you the chance to win one of two beautifully handmade children’s quilts.  Drawing will be Saturday, November 8.  Quilts are graciously made and donated to the library by our Library Friend.

Learn the skills of a savvy online shopper using Amazon, etsy, and other retailers all while keeping your information safe.

Peace, Love, Yarn-a-Thon

Saturday, November 1 from 11 am – 4 pm

Knit and Crochet holiday ornaments to benefit the Newstead Food Pantry.

Bring a non-perishable food item for the food pantry.  Please bring your own hook and needles, yarn will be provided.  There will be prizes and a bake sale.
