FREE - Social Service Assistance Every Friday

Meet with an Erie County Department of Social services Intern at the library.  She can assist with applying for help with food, home weatherization, finding health clinics, and other social services programs.    Wednesday, April 11 and May 2 from 1 -8pm and Friday, April 20 & 27 from 10 am – 5 pm.


Music with Mar!

Hop into an interactive music and movement class for children 8 months – 5 years old and their caregiver.  This program will be presented on the 1st and 3 rd Friday of the month in March, April and May. At 11:30 am

Assistance to Navigate the Healthcare System

Andrea Whitmarsh, Executive Director of the Familial Cancer Foundation of WNY will be available to help you navigate the healthcare system.  Topics covered but not limited to overall health questions, where to go for a medical concern, questions regarding a treatment plan and review of individual medical records.

Tail Waggin Tutors – Therapy Dogs visit the Library

The Newstead Public Library will have licensed therapy dogs visit the library for children to read to them.  This is a great experience for hesitant readers, children that may not be comfortable around dogs or just for the fun of reading to four-legged friend.  Parents are asked to sign children up for a 15-minute slot.
