***NEW***   Borrow a lawn game at the Newstead Public Library!!

Having a picnic or looking to try out a new lawn game?  The library has Corn hole, Bocce Ball, Tumbling Timbers, Kan Jam and Croquet to lend.  All games have a 7 day loan period.

Read Down Your Fines – June 2 – Sept. 15, 2018

Children and teens, 16 and under, can read down their fines in the library.  For every 15 minutes of reading, $1 will be taken off their fines.  This is a great way to reduce library fines and fees!

 

Libraries Rock Independent Summer Reading Begins

This is a great summer reading incentive for children 12 and under.  Just stop in the library to pick up your Reading Log, enter minutes your child reads and win prizes!

 

Passport to Reading is Back!

Stop by the Newstead Public Library to pick up your Passport to Reading.  This is a great way to visit other libraries around Erie County.  Take your passport and get stamped at each branch you visit.  You will also be entered into a prize drawing.

Read to Therapy Dogs!!

The Newstead Public Library will have licensed therapy dogs visit the library for children to read to them.  This is a great experience for hesitant readers, children that may not be comfortable around dogs or just for the fun of reading to four-legged friend.  Parents are asked to sign children up for a 15-minute slot.
