Join Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library!

Children under the age of 5 that live in the Akron School District can receive 1 book a month in the mail for FREE!  Stop by the Newstead Public Library for an application or register your child on line at www.imaginationlibrary.com  This program is made possible with the support of The Bank of Akron and the Friends of the Newstead Public Library.

 

1:1 Computer Assistance

Do you need help with your iPad, Microsoft Word or setting up a Facebook account??  We can assist with that and much more.  Please call the library at 542-2327 to schedule a time.

 

 

Toddler Jumpbunch

Build fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination with brightly colored balls and simple toys.  Parents are encouraged to participate!

Ages 15 months – 3 years

2nd and 4th Friday’s of the month at 11:30 am – 12:15 pm

 

 

T’ai Chi Chih with Denise Miller

T’ai Chi Chih movements are practiced softly with no impact.  No particular level of fitness, coordination or special clothing required.  Denise Miller is an accredited T’ai Chi Chih teacher who had been sharing this wonderful practice with students for 6 years.

Department of Social Services Assistance

Our University at Buffalo Social Work Intern returns every Friday to assist people in signing up for HEAP, SNAP and more!  No appointment needed, just stop in.
