A beautiful beach, picnic tables and a playground.
"Most Romantic Beach"
Wendt Beach Park is a 170-acre lake front estate and was used as the Henry W. Wendt, Jr. family's summer residence, which they later renamed the "The Ridgewood."
The grounds present a panorama of cropped lawns, picnic tables and a playground. This passive park is a great picnic location, but rocky/shale beach conditions and a non-lifeguarded beach make swimming prohibited.
Songbirds, Waterfowl, and Shorebirds are some of the migratory birds that can be watched and photographed.
- Water Life
Pan Fish, Catfish, Walleyes, Northern Pike, Bass and Perch are always there to challenge all anglers in Lake Erie.
Camping, open fires and alcohol are prohibited on Wendt Beach. Department of Parks, Recreation and Forestry regulations apply.
