Probation Officers received O.I.S. training from Investigator Bobby Yeates and Niagara County Sheriff Deputy Joseph Tortorella. Investigator Yeates was a Buffalo Police Officer involved in a fatal shooting in Riverside in 2012.  In May 2016, Deputy Torterella received the Presidential Medal of Valor for his actions in a fatal shooting near a school in 2015.
