Last week, the Erie County Department of Public Works installed 4-way stop signs at the corner of County Road, Salt Road and Hunts-Corner Road in the Town of Clarence.

After hearing residents’ concerns following several accidents at the intersection, Erie County Legislator Ed Rath has led the push for a change in traffic pattern. The speed limit was lowered in 2015; however, research and analysis indicated a need for stop signs.

“I would like to thank the county administration for listening to our concerns and taking action,” said Legislator Rath. “These improvements are critical to the safety and well-being of our community. I ask that drivers please use caution at the intersection and abide by the new signage.”
