During last week’s session, the Erie County Legislature unanimously approved a consolidated bond resolution that will fund projects throughout the county along with an additional $3 million for road work and infrastructure improvements. Legislator Ed Rath is pleased to announce that a portion of this funding will be dedicated to mill and overlay work on Maple Road from Hopkins Road to Transit Road in the Town of Amherst.

“This work is critical to ensuring the safety of the thousands of people who travel Maple Road every day,” said Legislator Rath. “Hopefully, the administration will invest in other roads throughout the district that are desperately in need of repair. I can assure the community that I will continue my push for more projects like this to be completed.”

Additionally, funding will go toward countywide parks improvements and upgrades to all ECC campuses.
