Erie County Legislator Edward Rath will host a Hot Dog Roast Fundraiser to benefit the Clarence Library from noon to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12 at the library, 3 Town Place, Clarence. The event is being held during Fire Safety Day, presented by the Clarence Center Volunteer Fire Company.

“I encourage families and residents to stop by for lunch and support the Clarence Library. Every dollar raised will directly benefit the library’s ongoing effort to provide superior services to patrons,” said Legislator Rath.

A special thanks to Dash’s Markets for generously donating supplies to the Hot Dog Roast Fundraiser and to Sahlen’s for supplying the grill. Hot dogs will be sold for $1, Italian sausage for $2 and bottle of water for $1. Event will be held rain or shine.

Legislator Rath will also be honoring the Clarence Center Fire Company during the event as part of Fire Prevention Week -- Oct. 6-12, 2013.

“Our volunteer fire departments are to be commended for everything they do. Throughout the year the departments volunteer their time to talk with children, families and residents about fire prevention and how to remove risks from their homes. During Fire Prevention Week I will be honoring the departments in my district with a County Proclamation to recognize how vital they are to our community by not only battling fires but also helping to prevent them,” said Legislator Rath.
