Last week, Erie County Legislator Ed Rath wrapped up a three-week series of volunteering for Junior Achievement of Western New York.

Legislator Rath visited Mrs. Strassel’s 2nd grade class at St. Gregory the Great School in Williamsville to teach the students about how government works, what makes a community and other municipal topics.

“Mrs. Strassel’s class was full of bright, engaging students who were eager to learn about a number of different subjects,” said Legislator Rath.  “I’d like to thank Junior Achievement for giving me the opportunity to volunteer as well as Mrs. Strassel and her students for welcoming me to their classroom.”

At the end of the program. Legislator Rath presented each student with a certificate. More information on Junior Achievement can be found here.
