81 YEAR OLD CONVICTED OF SEXT ACTS ON VICTIMS UNDER THE AGE OF 13

Erie County Sheriff Tim Howard is announcing the arrest and subsequent conviction of an 81 year old Blasdell man on two counts of attempted criminal sex acts on victims under the age of 13 years.

David Palmer pleaded guilty to the charges July 30th, 2013 in front of Erie County Court Judge Ken Case and is set to be sentenced on November 14, 2013.

Detectives from the Erie County Sheriff’s Office began their investigation back in March after being tipped off that Palmer may have been sexually abusing two female victims over the course of several years in his home in the Town of Brant.

Further investigation revealed that Palmer, who is now confined to a wheel chair in a nursing home, began abusing the girls approximately 8 years ago; the abuse ended when they got older.

Palmer was booked, mugged and then released on his own recognizance before returning  to the local nursing home he is residing in.
