July 14, 2013- Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of a Salamanca resident for DWI and other charges by Sheriff’s Road Patrols on Saturday night.
While on patrol on the Reservation, Deputy Ryan Rogers arrested Joni J. Jamison (53) and charged her with Aggravated DWI, Failure to Keep Right and Failure to Maintain the Road after investigating a one car crash on Rt. 438. Jamison drove off the road and struck a utility pole, knocking wires down. A breath test revealed her blood alcohol content to be .18%, over twice the legal limit. She was processed at the North Collins station and released on appearance tickets for North Collins Court. Rogers was assisted during the investigation by Deputy George Avery.
This was the 189th DWI arrest by Sheriff’s Road Patrols in 2013.
