May 13, 2012- Sheriff Tim Howard reports the arrest of a Town of Clarence man for aggravated DWI following a traffic stop early Sunday morning.
Erie County Sheriff's Deputy Timothy Cannan stopped a vehicle on Main Street in the Town of Clarence when he noticed the vehicle twice cross over the center line of the road. The driver, Kevin D. Cronan, age 28, of Clarence, was found to be intoxicated after he failed roadside field sobriety tests. Cronan was arrested and charged with DWI. A breath test revealed Cronan's blood alcohol content to be .23%- almost three times the legal limit. The high BAC is an upgraded charge of Aggravated DWI; Cronan was released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Clarence Court at a future date.
