AGGRAVATED DWI ARREST IN SPRINGVILLE

December 15, 2011- Erie Co. Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of a North Collins woman for aggravated driving while intoxicated.

Deputy Amy Klimowicz responded to a citizen complaint of a vehicle driving erratically on Cascade Drive in Springville.  The citizen complainant stated that he was following a gray Dodge Durango northbound on Cascade Dr. and that the vehicle had twice struck a guard rail.  Deputy Klimowicz stopped the vehicle, driven by 32 year old Christa L. Kwilos, further along Cascade Dr.  After failing several field sobriety tests, it was determined that Kwilos was intoxicated.  She was placed under arrest and taken to the Erie Co. Sheriff’s substation in Springville where she took a breath test.  The breath test revealed that Kwilos’ blood alcohol content was .21%, over twice the legal limit.  Kwilos was charged with aggravated DWI due to her BAC being over .18%.  She was released on appearance tickets returnable to the Village of Springville Courton a future date.
