November 25, 2-13- Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of an Elma resident for DWI and other charges after Sheriff’s Road Patrols investigated a complaint of a car in the ditch on Monday night.
While on patrol in Elma at approximately 10:20PM, Deputies John Szczepanski and Rich O’Neil arrested Brandon J. Lutz (32) and charged him with Aggravated DWI, Imprudent Speed and Failure to Maintain the Road after investigating a complaint of a car in the ditch on Willardshire Road. A breath test revealed his blood alcohol content to be .21%, over twice the legal limit. Lutz was not injured when he drove his car into the ditch. He was processed at the Elma Station and released on appearance tickets for Aurora Court.
This was the 273rd DWI arrest by Sheriff’s Road Patrols in 2013.
