Aggravated DWI arrest in the Town of Concord

September 16, 2013- Sheriff Tim Howard is announcing the arrest of a City of Buffalo man for Felony Aggravated DWI.  This is the 222nd DWI arrest by Erie Co. Sheriff's Office in 2013.

Deputy Bradford Ballantyne assisted by Deputies Timothy Colling and Todd Jones conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle, operated by 28 yr. old Brian Corcoran from the City of Buffalo, fail to drive on the right side of the road and fail to stay within his lane.

Deputy Ballantyne determined that Mr. Corcoran was intoxicated and took him into custody.  Mr. Corcoran was transported to Erie County Sheriff's Springville Substation and a chemical breath test was administered.  Mr. Corcoran's blood alcohol content registered a .22%, almost three times the legal limit.

Due to the high blood alcohol content and a prior DWI conviction date in September of 2005, Mr. Corcoran was charged with Felony Aggravated DWI and other vehicle and traffic charges.  He was taken to the Erie County Holding Center and will be arraigned at a future date in the Town of Concord Court.
