Erie County Sheriff Tim Howard is announcing the arrest of a City of Lackawanna man for Aggravated DWI. This is the 216th DWI arrest by Erie Co. Sheriff's Office in 2013.
Deputy Bradford Ballantyne assisted by Deputy Timothy Colling conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle, operated by 32 yr. old Jason Roncone from the City of Lackawanna, fail to drive on the right side of the road. Deputy Ballantyne determined that Mr. Roncone was intoxicated and took him into custody. Mr. Roncone was transported to Erie County Sheriff's Springville Substation and a chemical breath test was administered. Mr. Roncone's blood alcohol content registered a .24%, three times the legal limit.
Due to the high blood alcohol content, Mr. Roncone was charged w/ Aggravated DWI and other vehicle and traffic charges. He was taken to the Erie County Holding Center on $250 bail and will be arraigned at a future date in the Town of Boston Court.
