December 8, 2013- Sheriff Tim Howard is announcing the arrest of an Akron man for DWI in the Town of Newstead overnight. This is the 277th DWI arrest by the Erie Co. Sheriff's Office in 2013.
While patrolling on Indian Falls Rd. in the Town of Newstead, Deputy Gene Nati conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by 70 yr old Ronald Keller. Further investigation showed that Mr. Keller was intoxicated. Mr. Keller was taken into custody and transported to the Erie County Sheriff's Clarence Substation where he submitted to a chemical breath test. This test revealed that his blood alcohol content was .10%.
Mr. Keller was charged w/ Driving While Intoxicated and other vehicle and traffic charges. He was released to a third party on uniform traffic tickets returnable to the Town of Newstead Court at a later date.
