October 3, 2012- Town of Clarence- Erie County Sheriff Tim Howard is announcing the arrest of a Amherst man for larceny and narcotics charges.
While on patrol in District 2, Deputy Chris Ginnane of the Sheriff's Clarence sub-station and Deputy Gregory R. Kent of the Sheriff's Alden sub-station responded to a 911 complaint of suspected narcotics use in the JC Penney parking lot at the Eastern Hills Mall. Their investigation revealed that the suspect, Dallas M Hicks, age 24 of Amherst was in possession of suspected controlled substances, hypodermic needles, stolen credit cards and Mr. Hicks gave Deputies a false name. Mr. Hicks was subsequently charged with the following: PL 155.30-4 Grand Larceny 4th degree, PL 165.45-2 Criminal Possession Of Stolen Credit Cards, PL 220.03 Criminal Possession Of Controlled Substance, PL 220.45 Possession Of Hypodermic Instrument and PL 195.23 False Personation.
Mr. Hicks was remanded to the Erie County Holding Center pending arraignment in the Town of Clarence Court.
