Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports a late evening arrest for Boating While Intoxicated and an early morning arrest for Driving while Intoxicated.
At approximately 11:50 PM Friday evening, while on patrol of the Niagara River, Deputies Mike Okal and Chris Soluri stopped a vessel for violations of the Navigation Law. During the investigation, Thomas D. Seamon (35) of Buffalo was arrested and charged with Boating While Intoxicated. A breath test revealed his blood alcohol content to be .11%. He was processed at the Sheriff’s Office Grand Island Station and released on appearance tickets.
While on Patrol in the Town of Alden at approximately 02:35 AM Saturday morning, Deputy Scott Kuhlmey arrested Steven L. Johnson (30) of Batavia and charged him with Driving While Intoxicated after stopping his car for erratic driving on Walden Ave. A breath test revealed his blood alcohol content to be .14%. He was processed at the Clarence Substation and released on appearance tickets.
These were the 129th and 130th arrests for DWI by Sheriffs Road Patrols in 2014.
