July 4, 2013- Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of two local residents in alcohol related incidents by Sheriff’s Patrols on Thursday night.
While on patrol in the Elma at approximately 8:20PM, Deputy Tim Christian arrested Jeremy M. Pettigrew (26) of Lancaster and charged him with Aggravated DWI, Failure to Maintain Lane, Unsafe Turn and Driving with open alcoholic beverages after stopping his vehicle for erratic operation on Bowen Road. A breath test revealed his blood alcohol content to be .29%, over three times the legal limit.
He was processed and released on appearance tickets for Elma Court.
While on patrol in the Erie Barge Canal, Deputies Mike Okal and Tim Coulombe on board Marine Unit 3, arrested Justin D. Ksiazek (26) of Kenmore and charged him with Boating While Intoxicated and Operating without navigation lights after stopping his boat in the canal during the 4th of July events. A breath test revealed his blood alcohol content to be .18%, over twice the legal limit for operating a vessel. He was processed at the Grand Island Station and released on appearance tickets for City of Tonawanda Court.
