July 3, 2013- Erie County Sheriff Tim Howard says that his Narcotics Unit along with the Buffalo Police Narcotics Unit arrested a Clent Walker, 50 years of age, and his wife, Yssenia Ortiz 44 years of age of 73 Weyand Street in the upper apartment in Buffalo, New York following an investigation into narcotics sales in the South Buffalo area.
A search warrant signed by NYS Supreme Court Justice Timothy J. Drury was executed and Clent Walker and his wife Yssenia Ortiz were found to possess approximately a quarter ounce of crack cocaine packaged for street sale. A nine month old baby was at the residence and both Walker and Ortiz were charged additionally with endangering the welfare of a child. Clent Walker is no stranger to law enforcement as he has multiple prior felony convictions. Walker and Ortiz were also charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, criminal possession of a narcotic drug, criminal possession of a controlled substance, three counts of criminal using drug paraphernalia, and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Both Walker and Ortiz were taken to the Erie County Holding Center to await arraignment in the Buffalo City Court.
