Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the late evening arrest of a Buffalo man for DWI Drugs and his female passenger for illegal possession of narcotics following a traffic stop in the City of Buffalo.
Erie County Sheriff's Deputy David L. Zamorek stopped a vehicle on Delaware Ave. at W. Eagle St. in the City of Buffalo around 11:15pm on Monday night for a speeding violation. Upon further investigation and field sobriety tests, it was determined that the driver, 22 year old Bruce K. Stoltz of Meriden St. in Buffalo, was under the influence of drugs. A small baggie of marijuana was also found on his person. He was arrested and charged with DWI-Drugs and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. Stoltz submitted to a blood draw which was completed at ECMC.
The female passenger in the vehicle, 22 year old Ashley E. Wiatroeski of Holly St. in Buffalo, was found to be illegally in possession of three narcotic pills. She was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree and released on an appearance ticket for Buffalo City Court.
Stoltz's vehicle was towed from the scene and he was later released to a third party on appearance tickets to Buffalo City Court. The Buffalo Police assisted at the scene.
This was the 83rd DWI arrest by the Erie County Sheriff's Office this year.
