 Erie Co. Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of a City of Buffalo man for Felony Driving While Intoxicated.  This is the 135th DWI arrest made by the Erie County Sheriff’s in 2013.

 Erie Co Sheriff’s Deputy Simon Biegasiewicz and Detective Emily Nelson stopped a vehicle operated by 23 yr. old, Justin Knight, after observing the vehicle failing to stay in its lane on the roadway.  Upon further investigation, Deputy Biegasiewicz and Detective Nelson found Mr. Knight  to be intoxicated.  Mr. Knight was taken into custody and transported to the Erie County Sheriff’s Grand Island substation for processing.  Mr. Knight was administered a chemical breath test and his blood alcohol content was found to be .16%.  It was discovered that Mr. Knight had been previously convicted of Driving While Intoxicated on two separate dates, one in June of 2011 and the second one in January of 2013.  Due to Mr. Knight’s prior convictions, he was charged w/ Felony Driving While Intoxicated and Felony Aggravated Unlicensed Operation and numerous other vehicle and traffic infractions.
