BURGLARY ARREST/NORTH COLLINS

January 1, 2012 - Town of North Collins - Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of a nineteen year old Eden resident on an assortment of charges after he was arrested for breaking into a house to attack the resident.

While on patrol in North Collins, Deputies Neil Held and Rich O’Neil arrested the 19 year old subject after investigating a complaint from the home owner on School Street about the subject breaking into his house with a hammer in hand, damaging a door, and threatening to harm the resident.  The incident apparently was a continuation of a dispute that happened at a party earlier in the night.

The subject (name not released due to age) was charged with 2nd Degree Burglary, Criminal Mischief, Menacing and Weapons Possession.  He was processed at the North Collins Substation and transported to the Holding Center to await arraignment in North Collins Court.
