BURGLARY ARRESTS IN MARILLA, WALES, HOLLAND, CONCORD, NORTH COLLINS

June 14, 2013- Sheriff Timothy B. Howard announces the arrests of four Buffalo men suspected of committing several burglaries in the towns of Marilla, Wales, Holland, Concord and North Collins.

At approximately 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2013, four suspicious males went to a woman’s house in Marilla and asked for directions to Buffalo.  Concerned because her neighbor’s house had been burglarized the day before, the woman called the Erie County Sheriff’s Office and reported descriptions of the men and the car.

The suspect vehicle was spotted a short time later at the Yellow Goose store on Rt. 20A by Detective Greg McCarthy.

The four subjects were taken to Sheriff’s Patrol Headquarters in Chestnut Ridge Park for questioning.  After lengthy questioning by Sheriff’s Office detectives, Sean Guthrie, age 20 of East Lovejoy Street; Jeremy Agosto, age 21 of Greene Street; a 19-year old male and a 17-year old male were arrested by detectives McCarthy, Matthew Noecker and Christian Parisi, assisted by Senior Detective James Hatch, Detectives Steven Meerboth and Shaun Hediger, and Deputy Shawn Young.

All four subjects were charged with Attempted Burglary in the second degree (PL 110/140.25-2, D Felony) and taken to the Erie County Holding Center to await arraignment.

Information gained in the investigation implicates the men in nearly a dozen other burglaries committed in the area over the last two months.
