October 14, 2013- Erie County Sheriff Tim Howard reports that at about 12:15am the Sheriff's office responded to an alarm at a North Collins convenience store. When Deputies Held and Rogers arrived they found that the glass of the front door was smashed out and merchandise in the store was scattered about. Witnesses were able to provide a description of two suspects and their vehicle. The information was sent out to all local police agencies.
A short time later the suspect vehicle was located in C District by the Buffalo Police. In the vehicle were the two suspects along with stolen merchandise (cigarettes, scratch off lottery tickets) from the store. Deputies Held, Young and Detective Noecker responded to the C District station to interview the suspects. Joshua M. Bish (age 24) of West Seneca and Alexis Andrews (age 19) of Angola were arrested and charged with the following: Burglary 3rd degree, Grand Larceny 3rd , Criminal Mischief 3rd, Possession Stolen Property 3rd, and Possession of Burglar Tools. Both suspects were taking to the Erie County Holding Center and held for arraignment.
The Sheriffs office was contacted by other local police agencies that said that these two person are suspects in similar type incidents in their jurisdictions. Deputies were assisted at the crime scene by Troopers of the NYSP.
