March 7, 2012- Town of Marilla- Erie County Sheriff Tim Howard reports that patrol received a report of a burglary in progress at a Williston Road address in Marilla late yesterday afternoon. Upon arrival at the house, Deputy Jason Weiss encountered 3 males and 2 females loading items from the residence into a vehicle. All subjects were detained by Deputy Weiss. Upon investigation it was determined that the males all had outstanding warrants for their arrests. 21 year old Raymond Janicki was wanted on a Bench Warrant for Robbery 3rd degree from the Town of West Seneca. Edwin A. Collins, age 35, was wanted on a Bench Warrant for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree from the City of Buffalo. Charles D. Tucker, age 30, was wanted on Bench Warrants from the City of Buffalo and the Town of Lancaster. Both warrants were for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance- 7th degree.
It was further determined that the residence belonged to Janicki's parents and that these subjects were stealing property from the residence. The homeowners were contacted and they refused to pursue charges for burglary against their son and his associates. The male subjects were taken to the Erie County Holding Center where they were held for further court proceedings regarding their respective warrants. The female subjects were released at the scene. Deputy Weiss was assisted at the scene by members of the New York State Police.
