CLARENCE MAN ARRESTED FOR BOATING WHILE INTOXICATED


       

   June 7, 2012- Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of a Clarence resident for Boating While Intoxicated by Sheriff’s Marine Patrols on Thursday night.

     While on patrol in the Buffalo Harbor on board Sheriff’s Marine Unit (MU) 3, Deputies Tom Meredith and Mike Okal arrested James M. Craven (46) of Clarence and charged him with Boating While Intoxicated and a Navigation Law Violation after stopping his boat for operating without lights.  A breath test revealed his blood alcohol content to be .13%. He was processed at the Grand Island Substation and released on appearance tickets.
