August 28, 2012- Erie County Sheriff Tim Howard is announcing the arrest of a Clarence man on charges of rape in the second degree (D) felony ; sexual abuse in the first degree (D) felony and endangering the welfare of a child (a teenage female). 52 year old James Hatok was arrested Sunday night without incident at his Main Street address after Sr. Detective James Hatch conducted an interview with the suspect. Deputies John Harris; Eric Kalderi and Christopher Giannane also assisted in the arrest. Hatok was taken to the Erie County Holding Center pending his arraignment Monday afternoon in Clarence Town Court in front of Justice Sillars.
At the arraignment, Judge Sillars set bail at $50,000.00; Hatok was returned to the Erie County Holding Center. His felony hearing is set for Thursday, August 30, 2012 @ 7:00 in Clarence Town Court -30-
