Corfu Woman Arrested for DWI in the Village of Depew

Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the late evening arrest of a Corfu woman for DWI following a traffic stop in the village of Depew.

Erie County Sheriff's Deputies Nick Coniglio and Dan Harris stopped a vehicle driven by 22 year old Kate F. Miano of Akron Rd. in Corfu for a traffic violation on Transit Rd. in the Village of Depew around 11:45pm Monday night. Upon further interview and field sobriety tests, it was determined that Miano was intoxicated.    She was arrested and charged with DWI and numerous other traffic violations.

Miano submitted to a chemical breath test which revealed a .15% BAC, almost twice the legal limit. Miano's vehicle was towed with a DWI hold and she was later released to a third party with appearance tickets for Depew Village Court at a later date.

This was the 71st DWI arrest by the Erie County Sheriff's Office this year.
