May 5, 2012- Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of an Elma resident for multiple charges after a domestic incident in Elma.
Deputies John Szczepanski, Rich O’Neil and Simon Biegasiewicz were called to the complaint of a domestic incident on Girdle Road in Elma at approximately 11:59PM. It was determined that the complainant had a valid order of protection against the suspect in the disturbance. After the investigation, the Deputies arrested the offender: Anthony M. Capanyola (25) of Elma and charged him with Menacing, Harassment, and First Degree Felony Criminal Contempt for threatening to injure the complainant and for violating the order of protection. The complainant was not injured during the incident. Capanyola was processed at the Elma Substation and transported to the Holding Center to await arraignment.
On Sunday morning, the offender was transported to Elma Court for arraignment and released on his own recognizance.
