March 16, 2012-City of Buffalo- Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of an Olean Woman for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 4th degree, Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance 7th degree, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle and other traffic offenses on Thursday night.
While on patrol in Buffalo, Deputies Dan Harris and Adam Day pulled over a vehicle driven by Ashley M. King, 28, of Olean, for traffic infractions. In addition to her infractions she was driving while her license was suspended and was found to be in possession of marijuana and narcotic pills not prescribed to her. A search of the vehicle subsequent to the arrest led to the discovery of a purse containing credit cards and New York State Benefit cards that was stolen from Olean. Deputy Mike Okal contacted the owner of the purse and returned her stolen property. Ms. King was taken to the Erie County Holding Center pending her arraignment on felony and misdemeanor charges.
