May 17, 2013- Erie County Sheriff Tim Howard is announcing the early afternoon DWI arrest of a woman from the Seneca Nation Reservation.
At about 2:15pm, Erie County Sheriff's Deputy Nate Bork responded to a call of a reckless operation of a vehicle on Rt. 438 on the Seneca Nation Reservation.
Deputy Bork was able to locate the vehicle and upon speaking with the driver, 55 y/o Beverly E. Kennedy of Rt. 438 Seneca Nation Reservation, it was determined that she was intoxicated and subsequently charged with DWI. Kennedy submitted to a chemical breath test which showed a reading of .24% BAC, three times the legal limit. Kennedy was released to a third party on appearance tickets, returnable to Brant Court at a later date. Kennedy's vehicle was towed with a 12 hour DWI hold.
This is the 130th DWI arrest by the Erie County Sheriff's Office this year.
