August 10, 2013- Sheriff Tim Howard is announcing the the early morning arrest of an Akron man for DWI following a traffic stop in the Town of Clarence.
Erie County Sheriff's Deputy Simon Biegasiewicz was on patrol on Goodrich Rd. in the Town of Clarence when he observed a vehicle failing to stay in it's traffic lane.
The vehicle was stopped by Deputy Biegasiewicz and upon further investigation and field sobriety tests, the driver, 21 y/o Andrew B. Barden of Indian Falls Rd. in Akron, was found to be intoxicated.
Barden was arrested and charged with DWI and the traffic infraction. Barden submitted to a chemical breath test which showed a reading of .11% BAC.
The vehicle was towed with a 12 hour DWI hold.
Barden was released to a family member with appearance tickets for the Town of Clarence Court at a later date.
This was the 206th DWI arrest this year by the Erie County Sheriff's Office.
