Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of two local drivers for Driving While Intoxicated in separate incidents by Sheriff’s Road Patrols on Monday night.
While on patrol on Grand Island at 7:00PM, Deputies Brandon Stott and Jason Clark arrested Alexis M. Raepple (22) of Grand Island and charged her with DWI and traffic infractions after investigating a property damage crash on Whitehaven Road at the ramp for Interstate 190. A breath test revealed her blood alcohol content to be .23%, almost three times the legal limit. She was processed at the Grand Island Station and released on appearance tickets.
While on patrol in Buffalo at approximately 2:50AM Tuesday morning, Deputy Rob Galbraith arrested Raymone D. Speed (37) of Buffalo and charged him with DWI, Leaving the scene of a property damage crash, and multiple other traffic infractions after stopping his car for driving the wrong way down a ramp onto the Rt. 33 Expressway from East Delevan Ave with a heavily damaged vehicle. The damage was from crashing into a guide rail just minutes before the Deputy spotted him. Speed refused to submit to a breath test to determine his blood alcohol content. He was processed and transported to the Holding Center on $500 bail.
These were the 53rd and 54th DWI arrests by Sheriff’s Road Patrols in 2014.
