DWI ARRESTS ON GRAND ISLAND AND TOWN OF COLDEN


March 18, 2013- that the Erie County Sheriff's Office made two DWI arrests overnight.  These two arrests are the 71st and 72nd DWI arrests for the Erie County Sheriff's Office in 2013.

 In the first incident, Deputy Matthew Krypel responded to a report of a property damage only accident on Love Rd. in the Town of Grand Island.  The driver, 24 yr. old Brittany Clarke of East Amherst, was found to be intoxicated.  Ms. Clarke was taken into custody and transported to the Erie County Sheriff's Grand Island Substation.  A chemical breath test was administered to Ms. Clarke and this test showed her blood alcohol content to be .19%, more than twice the legal limit.  Ms. Clarke was charged w/ aggravated driving while intoxicated and  was released to a third party on uniform traffic tickets returnable to the Town of Grand Island Court at a later date.

 Deputy Gene Nati responded to a report of a vehicle off the roadway on Genesee Rd. in the Town of Alden.  The driver, 51 yr. old Bernadette Roll of Alden, was found to be intoxicated.  Ms. Roll was taken into custody and then transported to the Erie County Sheriff's Clarence Substation where she was administered a chemical breath test.  Ms. Roll's blood alcohol content was found to be .14%.  Mr. Roll was charged w/ driving while intoxicated and released to a third party on uniform traffic tickets returnable to the Town of Alden Court at a later date.
