DWI ARRESTS IN TOWNS OF CLARENCE AND AURORA


SUBJECT:  DWI Arrests

   

 

 

     December 17, 2011-  Town of Aurora; Town of Clarence- Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of two local residents for Driving While Intoxicated early Saturday morning by Sheriff’s Road Patrols. 

      While on patrol in the Town of Aurora, Deputy Ryan Rogers of the Elma Substation stopped to check on a car parked on Rt. 400 near Lapham Road.  Deputy Rogers discovered that the driver of the vehicle:  Nicholas W. Riter (25) of East Aurora was passed out in the driver’s seat.  After making sure that Riter was not suffering from a medical emergency,Rogers conducted several field sobriety tests on him.  After the testing was completed,Rogers arrested Riter and charged him with DWI.  A breath test revealed his blood alcohol content to be .19%, over twice the legal limit.  He was processed at the Elma Substation and released on appearance tickets for Aurora Court.    

      While on patrol in Clarence, Deputy Simon Biegasiewicz of the Clarence Substation arrested Nicholas J. Binner (23) of Clarence and charged him with DWI and traffic infractions after stopping his vehicle for driving erratically on Harris Hill Road near Greiner Road.  A breath test revealed his blood alcohol content to be .21%, also over twice the legal limit.  Binner was processed at the Clarence Substation and released on appearance tickets for Clarence Court.
