March 23, 2012- Village of Alden- Sheriff Tim Howard reports the afternoon arrest of a Rochester woman for DWI (Drugs) following a minor traffic accident in the Village of Alden. Erie County Sheriff's Deputy Greg Kent responded to Crittenden Road in the Village of Alden for a reported minor traffic accident.
Upon arrival and further investigation, it was determined that 35 year old Kimberly A. Mankowski of Rochester, rear ended another vehicle that was turning into a driveway on Crittended Road. No injuries were reported at the scene.
Further review and field sobriety testing of Mankowski determined she was intoxicated by drugs. Mankowski admitted to be taking some medication for pain. Mankowski was also found to be in possession of suspected cocaine. Mankowski was arrested and charged with DWI- DRUGS; following too closely in a motor vehicle; and two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree.
Mankowski submitted to a blood/urine test which was subsequently done at ECMC. Mankowski was released to a third party on appearance tickets returnable to the Village of Alden Court at a later date.
