DWI/DRUGS IN VILLAGE OF FARNHAM

April 3, 2013 -  Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of an Irving resident for Driving While Intoxicated by Drugs by Sheriff’s Road Patrols early Wednesday morning in Farnham.

While on patrol in the Village of Farnham at approximately 4:00 AM, Deputies Neil Held and Ryan Rogers responded to a complaint of a driver passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle on Commercial Street.  After investigating the complaint, the Deputies arrested the driver:  Melissa M. Perenc (37) and charged her with DWI – Drugs and Felony Aggravated Unlicensed Operation (license revoked for a prior refusal to submit to chemical test from a DWI arrest in 2011).  Perenc was believed to be intoxicated by multiple types of prescription narcotics, but she once again refused to take a chemical test to determine the level of her intoxication.  She was processed at the North Collins station and released on appearance tickets.

This was the 86th DWI arrest for Sheriff’s Road Patrols in 2013.
