July 12, 2013- Sheriff Tim Howard reports the early afternoon arrest of a Buffalo woman for DWI in the Town of Grand Island.
Erie County Sheriff's Deputies Anthony Yavicoli and Edward Krypel responded to Beaver Lane in the Town of Grand Island for a report by a resident that a known female was intoxicated and showed up at her residence, unwanted and was turned away. The female then went back into her car and fell asleep.
Upon arrival, Deputies located the female, 51 y/o Valeria Mosley of Durham Ct. in Buffalo, sleeping in her car. Upon further investigation and interview, Deputies found that Mosley was intoxicated. Mosley refused all subsequent field sobriety tests and chemical breath testing. Mosley was arrested and charged with DWI. The vehicle was towed with a 12 hour DWI hold.
Mosley was taken to the Erie County Holding Center and held pending her arraignment in the Town of Grand Island Court.
This was the 180th DWI arrest by the Erie County Sheriff's Office this year.
