DWI - SENECA NATION OF INDIANS


September 5, 2012- Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of a 25 year old Town of Collins man for Driving While Intoxicated after he was involved in a one car motor vehicle accident on Rte 438 on the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation.

Christopher A. Denea crashed his vehicle in to a culvert and ended up on the front lawn of a residence on Rte 438.  Deputies Jeff Hicks and Joel Schenfield responded to the scene and conducted an investigation of the accident.  As a result of  the investigation Denea was arrested for DWI.  He was taken to the North Collins substation where he refused to submit to a Breath test to determine his Blood alcohol concentration.  While at the substation Denea was uncooperative and was also charged with Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd

Denea was issued appearance tickets returnable in Brant Court and was released to the custody of his father.
