November 26, 2013- Sheriff Tim Howard announces the arrest of a Seneca Nation woman for DWI following her one car property damage accident on the Seneca Nation Reservation.
Erie County Sheriff's Deputies Thomas Van Wie and Gary Mosier responded to Rt. 438 near Versailles Plank Rd. for a report of a one car property damage accident in which a utility pole was struck along with a couple mailboxes on the shoulder of the road.
Upon arrival, patrol found the vehicle along with the driver, 33 y/o Jessica J. Garrow of Gordon Garrow Rd. on the Seneca Nation Reservation. Garrrow was uninjured but extremely intoxicated, believed to be by drugs. Field sobriety tests were attempted and failed.
Garrow was arrested and charged with DWI and other traffic violations. Garrow submitted to a blood draw which was completed at ECMC.
Garrow would be later released to family members with appearance tickets to North Collins Court at a later date.
Deputies were assisted by the State Police, Seneca Nation Marshals, and Gowanda Pd.
This was the 272nd DWI arrest by the Erie County Sheriff's Office this year.
