February 10, 2012- Erie County Sheriff Tim Howard reports the arrest of a mother and her son on the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation for Falsely Reporting an Incident following a burglary complaint.
Erie County Sheriff's Deputies James Flowers and Tony Yavicoli responded to a residence on Route 438 on the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation for a reported burglary of the residence where many items were supposedly taken while the residents were out of the house for an hour. Upon arrival and further investigation, it was discovered and revealed to Deputies that the homeowner, 51 year old Donna Delousia and her 28 year old son, Jordan O'Connell made up the whole story of the burglary. Apparently Jordan had taken some of his mother's prescription medications and threw them out in the toilet so the scheme was made up to assist in replacing the mother's meds. There were no items taken from the house whatsoever. Jordan was the apparent mastermind of the plan and his mother, Donna, went along with the story and also gave a false written statement of the incident to the deputies.
Jordan was arrested and charged with Falsely Reporting an Incident in the third degree and Criminal Mischief- 4th degree. Jordan was subsequently taken to the Erie County Holding Center and held on $500.00 bail pending arraignment at the Town of Brant Court.
The mother, Donna, was arrested and charged with the same- Falsely Reporting an Incident- 3rd degree and making a false written statement. Donna was released at her residence on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Brant Court at a later date.
