FATAL MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT ON CATTARAUGUS INDIAN RESERVATION

August 17, 2013- Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the Erie County Sheriff’s Office Accident Investigation Unit is investigating a single vehicle crash on Seneca Road, on the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation.

The driver, 58 year old, Jamie Stuart, from the town of Brant, was travelling eastbound, when she lost control of her 1998 Jaguar XK convertible, which caused the vehicle to flip over and come to rest on its roof.

Stuart was examined by Gowanda Ambulance paramedics and Cattaraugus Indian Reservation Fire Company personnel and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
