June 12, 2013- Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports a one-car motor vehicle crash, in the Town of Wales, which claimed the life of a 34 year old Town of Wales man.
An investigation by the Erie County Sheriff's Office Crash Investigation Unit reveals that at approximately 1:30 A.M. a 2000 Chevrolet Malibu was traveling south bound on Maple Hill Road, at an excessive speed, when the operator lost control and went off of the east side of the road. The vehicle became airborne and overturned several times.
The operator, 34 year old Justin D. Gaydek of Maple Hill Road in Wales, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Erie County Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by the Wales Center Fire Company, Jamison Road Fire Company and Rural Metro Ambulance.
