July 6, 2012- Sheriff Tim Howard reports the arrest of an Akron man for Felony DWI and Felony aggravated unlicensed operation.
During the course of an accident investigation on Transit Road in Clarence, Deputy Timothy Cannan determined that the driver of one of the vehicles was intoxicated. Deputy Cannan arrested 29 year old Richard Koslowski of Akron for DWI and for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation. Koslowski refused a breath test. His DWI charge was elevated to a felony due to a previous DWI conviction in 2012 and his aggravated unlicensed operation charge also became a felony due to his license having been suspended for previous alcohol related offenses. Koslowski was taken to the Erie County Holding Center pending arraignment.
